Emmerdale star Katherine Dow-Blyton says Harriet Finch will be central to the upcoming story involving a storm that is set to descend on the village.
But as the star teases her involvement in the “exciting stunt” as part of Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary episodes, could Harriet become a victim of the devastating storm?
Emmerdale bosses had already hinted that the storm will put some of the soap’s “best loved characters in peril,” with Harriet star Katherine hinting at the danger that awaits her character.

“I’ve never been involved in the super stunt weeks before so this is my first time,” said Katherine.

“It’s exciting and I loved doing the stunts. Belinda my stunt double made me feel very safe and well looked after and I had a great guy who gave me full lessons on how to ride a quad bike.
“I absolutely loved it.”
Speaking about filming the epic stunts for the storm scenes, Katherine added: “I had the wonderful Belinda who was my body double. She was amazing.

“I did as much as I was comfortable with but obviously nowhere near her talent, skill and bravery. I was quite happy to watch.
“It’s spectacular to see the work that goes into something like that.”
She added: “It’s exciting to be involved in stunts and big stories and to be fully immersed into something so dramatic is brilliant.”
Although Katherine did not reveal the extent of what will happen to Harriet in the storm, she did tease that there will be an epic showdown with Kim Tate, as Harriet tries to stop her from marrying love of her life Will Taylor.
Will it be the showdown that leads to a devastating end for one of the characters instead of the storm?
“She [Kim] comes to the house and Harriet thinks it’s Will because devious Kim has text from Will’s phone,” said Katherine.
“She’s pretty much broken at that point. Something Kim says makes Harriet lose it for a moment.
“It’s a good confrontation but ultimately who will win?”
