Good Morning Britain newsreader Ranvir Singh has offered up well wishes to an ITV star who is about to join a rival TV channel.
The 44-year-old political correspondent wanted to say farewell to her “lovely” Loose Women colleague whose departure was announced on social media a few days ago.
Taking to Twitter, Ranvir re-posted the news that the ITV director Ollie Gardner was stepping down from the award-winning show and was now onto pastures new.
Sharing the news with her 106,000 followers, the GMB star re-tweeted: “After nearly 10 years at ITV, I’m off to News UK new channel TalkTV as the Deputy Head of Studio.
“I can’t wait to get started.”
The announcement continued: “I’m really sad to be leaving @loosewomen after three years.
“Working on the show has been so so much fun.
“I’ve learnt so much (I probably have the equivalent of a degree on the menopause) and been so lucky to work with such a hard-working, insightful and passionate team both on and off-screen.”
Ranvir followed up with a sweet message, explaining that she’d enjoyed seeing her co-star blossom in the role.
Along with the announcement, she penned: “So lovely to see you grow and grow @olliedgardner
“Have great fun on your new adventure! Xx”
Meanwhile, Loose Women hit the headlines last week after it was announced there was conflict in camp which was later slammed by stars of the show.
Reports of a backstage feud on the chat show surfaced, suggesting that a number of the ITV regulars had refused to work with former singer Coleen Nolan.
Saira Khan and Janet Street-Porter have both taken to social media to defend Coleen Nolan after claims were made about brewing tensions on-set.
It was alleged that Nadia Sawalha, 57, Carol McGiffin, 61, and Stacey Solomon, 32, had all fallen out with Coleen and no longer wanted to sit on the same panel with her.
Since then, Coleen has spoke out to deny claims and added that she would be taking further action.
