His cause of death has not yet been revealed however his brother, Shaun Ryder, recalled how Paul complained of headaches in the hours leading up to his death.
Just two weeks later, Shaun and his loved ones gathered at St Charles Church, Swinton to pay their final respects to the bass player.
The I’m A Celebrity star was pictured carrying his later brother casket into his funeral service as he was laid to rest on August 4.
Announcing the news of Paul’s death on his Instagram, Shaun shared a picture of his brother and penned: “The Ryder family and Happy Mondays band members are deeply saddened and shocked to say that Paul Ryder passed away this morning.
A true pioneer and legend. He will be missed forever. Long live his funk x.”
