Hollyoaks favourite Sylver McQueen (David Tag) was tragically killed after a fire explosion ripped up Salon De Thé and fans thinks he’s not the only casualty.
During Tuesday’s hour-long special first-look episode on E4, a huge blaze threatened the lives of many villagers during a fundraising event for Dee Valley Hospital.
Marnie Nightingale (Lysette Anthony) announced the commencement of the bash at the Salon De The to her guests including Martine Deveraux, Cleo McQueen, Toby and Celeste Faroe, Per Lomaxi, Romeo Nightingale, Cher and Mercedes McQueen, Juliet Nightingale and Jack Osborne.
The McQueens showed just how much they stick together when Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) saved step-daughter Cher’s (Bethannie Hare) life.
When they realised Mercedes’ young son Bobby Costello was still in the burning building, a heroic act was made by Sylver but he didn’t make it out alive.
In a dramatic twist, Bobby told his concerned mum that Sylver wasn’t inside the building.
As a result of the youngster’s twisted lie, Sylver died marking the end of the road for actor David Tag, who has played the character since 2018.
Speaking to Daily Star about his soap exit, he said: “I have actually known I was leaving for a while.
“I had a chat with producers a few months ago. I didn’t know how it was going to happen but I’m really happy with the way I’m going out.
“I always said if I was to leave I wanted to go out in a bang.”
As the shock explosion ripped through the building and amongst the chaos, Toby (Bobby Gordon) revealed that he killed Lisa Loveday to his gobsmacked family members.
Toby’s close bond with sister shone through but in powerful scenes.
However, the pair appeared to get their comeuppance for Lisa’s murder as Celeste seemingly died in his arms surrounded by flames.
Fans are convinced that Celeste has passed away after her emotional plea to Toby to leave her and escape the burning building.
