I'm A Celebrity fans twig reason stars won't quit ITV show despite Matt Hancock backlash

I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! fans are convinced “money and exposure” is the reason why stars won’t leave the show, despite feeling “uncomfortable” since former MP Matt Hancock joined the camp.

Fans of the ITV show were led to believe that contestants were feeling “angry and upset” following Matt’s arrival.

On Thursday night (November 10), Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver called out the former health secretary, a day after Culture Club frontman Boy George considered leaving camp.

A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas revealed to Hancock that “emotions were running high” since he joined the celebrity camp.

Despite the not-so-subtle hints that members of the celebrity camp would leave the show, fans are convinced there won’t be a ‘mass walkout’.

One viewer took to Twitter to voice their concerns, saying: “All the ‘celebrities’ in the jungle who have a problem with Matt Hancock should just walk out if they are that bothered, but no they won’t do that because they won’t get paid by itv.”

A second agreed, writing: “Money talks and they won’t do that cos if they do they don’t get paid.”

“Walk out and not get paid by ITV. They won’t do that as they want the money/exposure the show gives them.”, a third chimed in.

Following Matt’s arrival in camp in Wednesday’s episode, Boy George told the Bush Telegraph that he was unsure whether he wanted to stay.

“I don’t really know what to do with my feelings. You know, today was obviously quite emotional for me.

“I don’t know what it’s going to be like, I actually don’t really know if I want to be here.”
