I'm A Celeb star claims cast members have it 'easier' in jungle compared to Welsh castle

I’m A Celeb star Louise Minchin believes this year’s cast have it “easier” than her series despite the lack of creepy crawlies in the Welsh castle.

The former BBC Breakfast presenter has claimed that the Australian jungle-based camp is “cosier and warmer” than Gwrych Castle in Wales.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I think it’s going to be easier for them than it was for us, even though we didn’t have creepy crawlies or snakes going through the camp.”

The TV star continued: “The way the camp is set out they can all lie with their beds around the fire, which makes it cosier and warmer, we couldn’t do that but it would have been nice.”

“Watching them complain about being cold made me laugh, I was like ‘You don’t even know what cold is! Try being in Wales’ and we had to face Storm Arwen.”

Louise also described the struggle for hot water she and her campmates faced in the castle that she’s sure the Aussie lot have no problem with.

She explained: “Washing with cold water in the Australian jungle is completely different to the cold water in Wales, we only managed to make the hot water work on my last day.”

Louise, who lasted 17 days in camp before being voted out, walked a 250 metre long plank above a lake, survived Storm Arwen and was doused in cockroaches and mealworms during her time on the show.

More challenges await this year’s celebrities, but the public are sure that former MP Matt Hancock, who’s controversial arrival in the jungle rocked camp, will face the majority of trials.

Some fans are already “bored” of seeing Matt perform Bushtucker trials, and have begged for a change of format.

One took to Twitter to complain, writing: “This is going to get boring now watching Matt do every trial. The others are getting paid for what #ImACeleb.”

“It’s gonna be so boring if it’s matt all the time he’s not even entertaining in trials #ImACeleb”, another added.
