I'm A Celeb's Jill Scott takes swipe at Matt Hancock as he shares 'rules' as camp leader

Jill Scott took a savage swipe at I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! co-star Matt Hancock as he dished out new rules after being voted camp leader.

The former Health Secretary went head-to-head with Mike Tindall in a challenge during Sunday’s (November 13) episode after the pair received the most votes from the public to be in charge.

Matt won the challenge, with the help of his chosen deputy Charlene White, and therefore became camp leader.

After arriving back in camp, Matt and Charlene had to to assign chores to their campmates.

They were informed that the leader and deputy are exempt and cannot assist in chores around camp.

After assigning chores to their campmates, Matt began to tell the camp who was doing what when Jill interrupted.

The retired footballer asked: “Just to be clear, are these guidelines or rules?”

Matt replied: “These are rules. This is the law of the jungle, Jill.”

Jill laughed: “Just checking.”

The cheeky quip comes after Matt was confronted by his fellow campmates about his lockdown rule break.

He was forced to resign in June 2021 after CCTV footage emerged of Mat kissing aide Gina Colangelo while social distancing guidelines were in place.

Radio DJ Chris Moyles asked Matt if he had received a fine for the kiss, with the MP retorting: “I didn’t break any laws. Guidance is different.”

Later in the episode Matt named A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner as camp chefs.

An excited Owen said: “Banging, come on!” as he learned his new role.

On washing up was Jill and Boy George and Camp water was Chris and Mike.

Dunny duty was given to comedian Seann Walsh and Corrie actress Sue Cleaver.

The soap star laughed: “I’m happy to move your s***.”

Camp maintenance was given to Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatúndé Aleshe and Mike.

They then had to reveal a secret message hidden at the bottom of the laminate.

In a further bombshell, Charlene read from the laminate: “In addition to being exempt from all chores, the leader and deputy will sleep in the RV and remain in there until further notice.”

The news meant that Owen and Jill had to move out of the on-site caravan and now sleep under the stars while Charlene and Matt moved in.
