Comedian Seann Walsh has revealed he thinks organisation and structure were lacking in his life because his dad was a heroin addict.
The star – who is now in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – hit the headlines in 2018 for kissing his then-married Strictly partner Katya Jones, which happened when he was dating actress Rebecca Humphries.
He went on to quit drinking and has shared that he had therapy in a bid to “find order and structure”.

However, the 36-year-old said he was never destined to be someone who could make to-do lists and be really organised, because he had such an unstructured upbringing.
“This idea of structure in my life, this was one of the things I had to grapple with, after the Strictly stuff, you kind of realise that life couldn’t continue the way it was,” he said.
“Something had to give.
“The booze had to go and I had to try to rebuild my life and I went to therapy and therapy was about trying to find order and structure and all this stuff. That can be eye-rolling at times if you’re talking about it and listening to it.
“But that thing of finding structure you realise, of course, that came from having a dad who was a heroin addict. If your dad’s a heroin addict you’re not going to be someone who wakes up in the morning and does a to-do list. That organisation isn’t going to be there.”
Before appearing on I’m A Celebrity, Seann – who appeared as a latecomer on the ITV show last week alongside suspended Tory MP Matt Hancock, 44 – backed his pal and fellow comedian Josh James to star in the series one day.
Speaking to the stand-up on Josh’s podcast last month (October), he said: “You’re more jungle [than Strictly]. I think you will do it one day. You’d be great in the jungle. Top three, definitely. I’d put money on that.”
But Seann doubted his own chances of doing well in camp, due to his fear of spiders.
He said: “I’ve got arachnophobia, so…”.
Seann – who announced in October he is going to be a dad for the first time with his girlfriend, dance teacher Grace Adderley – revealed he isn’t a huge fan of performing at comedy clubs anymore, because he is “too lazy” to do all the travelling.
Asked if he misses performing at comedy clubs, he added: “I still love doing Top Secret [Comedy Club] in Covent Garden. I love going back there and playing there, but I think I’m too lazy. The travelling, I can’t sit … I’m just too lazy.
“I don’t know how people do it. I just go to Top Secret, and I absolutely love it.
“But no, driving hours and hours to go and do a club gig … I don’t know. I did love doing that, and I still think you can storm your hour, and it’s electric. I’ve done some of the best shows of my life and you storm your hour and it’s electric.
“But there’s nothing quite like closing The Comedy Store or Top Secret and for 10 to 15 minutes it’s another level.”
