Kate Beckinsale looks completely different after ditching her brunette locks for a fierce shade of red.

The Hollywood starlet looked incredible as she posed for a mirror selfie wearing skintight leggings and a fitted lycra t-shirt, working her best angles for her 5.5 million followers.

Despite her killer figure taking centre stage, it appears fans were more distracted by the 49-year-old’s chopped ginger locks which were styled in perfect curls.

Looking worlds away from her usual self, the Van Helsing actress is known for her signature brunette tresses which drop past her shoulders, however her new locks were slashed just below her chin and perfectly framed her face.

Kate sported chopped ginger locks

She teamed her casual look with a pair of killer platform boots which boasted silver buckles up the front.

It’s likely Kate’s stunning new look could be product of a wig, but fans couldn’t help but swoon nonetheless, with many citing the style bares a striking to resemblance to her character’s in the 2003 action horror film, Underworld.

One user begged: “WE NEED ANOTHER UNDERWORLD! Please!”

Referencing Kate’s character Selene, another echoed: “I like you better as a Vampire.”

While others couldn’t wait to gush over the star as someone else added: “Kate, you are Absolutely Gorgeous!!!”

“Absolute Goddess!,” penned a fourth as another exclaimed: “Looking sexy as ever.”

It comes shortly after the star sparked confusion amongst fans following a video she posted on her Instagram during a World Cup game.

Kate was eager for Croatia to win

The mum-of-one was sat alongside close pal Gabriella Morpeth as they eagerly watched as Croatia beat Brazil in the quarter-finals on Friday (December 9).

In the caption she penned: “Well done Croatia !!! we love you.”

The British-born star later confirmed on her Instagram Stories that while her support was fully behind England, she felt she should show respect to the country she is currently working in.
