Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has revealed that Kaye Adams considered ‘pulling out’ of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing after signing the contract.
Kaye made her debut in the BBC ballroom last weekend, where she and show pro Kai Widdrington danced the Tango to ABBA’s hit Voulez-Vous.
However, it seems the Loose Women presenter had a panic and almost walked away from the show before it even started.

Nadia Sawalha told Daily Star she received an urgent voicenote from close pal and co-star Kaye, who told she’d made a “terrible mistake” in signing the Strictly contract.
Nadia has become Thea UK’s new ambassador and is promoting eye health, raising awareness of conditions like Dry Eyes Disease.
Asked how she thought Kaye would do on the dancefloor, Nadia admitted: “I’m going to the first live show on Saturday. I’m as nervous as if it was my own child, because I’ve been through every step of it with her.”
She spilled Kaye’s voicenote, which forced Nadia pinto giving her fellow panelist a stern pep talk to keep her in the series, and luckily it worked.
Doing an impression of her Scottish pal, Nadia said: “A few weeks ago I got this voicenote from her: ‘Obviously I can’t pull out because I’ve already signed the contract. I’ve made a terrible mistake. What am I doing? What am I doing?’“
The ex-EastEnders star continued: “I had to do that thing with your friend where you have to work out, are they wanting me here to say ‘Is there any way we can pull you out’ or is she wanting me to give her a bit of a b****cking, so I decided on the b****cking.
“I was like ‘This is a no. This is not happening. Do you think there’s one person doing this that isn’t terrified out of their mind? Did you not do this to be terrified out of your mind?’
“Anyway, I went on and on and on, I got a voicenote back from her saying ‘Thanks, needed that.'”
Nadia said Kaye would always refuse to dance but later turned a corner, and is now convinced Strictly bosses caught Kaye twerking on Loose Women – or mores specifically, her “buttocks”.
“I’ve known her for 25 years,” she began.
“Every single time a beat of music goes on she sits down and says ‘I can’t dance’, but then what happened was, about three months ago Judi was talking about twerking. trying to get her to twerk. None of us could twerk. And then on her radio show she [Kaye] had a twerking professional on and came in the next week and totally surprised us.
“She goes ‘Watch this’ and she turned upside down and she twerked upside down moving each individual buttocks at different times, and so she did it on Loose Women. We’re convinced that Strictly saw her individual buttocks.”
On why she teamed up with Thea UK, Nadia said she’s suffered with dry eyes “for years” as a young contact lens wearer who left her lenses in on nights out, being a phone addict, and going through the menopause.
The star said it’s “so frustrating” as those things aggravate her eyes, but she ‘loves’ Thea’s new Thealoz duo eye drops and the mask they sent her.
“I’m just generally very interested in eye health,” she said. “It’s just so important. I think it’s one of the senses that we fear the most of losing.”
Nadia explained she’s always been invested in eye health as eye issues have affected her family, given that her grandfather was blind and her mum now has to have daily injections in her eyes.
Nadia Sawalha is supporting eyecare experts Théa UK’s ‘Keep a look out for your eyes’ campaign to raise awareness of dry eyes and the importance of looking after our eye health.
