Loose Women stars 'heartbroken' for Brenda Edwards following son Jamal's death at 31

Loose Women stars including Denise Welch, Charlene White and Saira Khan have shared their heartbreak for Brenda Edwards following the death of her son Jamal Edwards.

The SB.TV founder passed away on Sunday (February 20) morning at the age of 31.

His cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

Tributes have since poured in online and posting to Twitter, Denise and Charlene sent their condolences to their ITV co-star Brenda while former Loose Women presenter Saira shared a heartfelt tribute to Jamal on her Instagram stories.

On Sunday evening, Denise wrote: “My heart aches for my friend Brenda. I can’t bear it.

“Jamal Edwards was a wonderful son and brother.”

Alongside a picture of Jamal, Charlene said in a tweet on Monday: “Your light shone so brightly that it touched so many of us, impacted the lives of many more, and changed the game forever. And, you are my Brenda’s son.

“There are no words to describe her heartbreak, our heartbreak, now that your light has gone.

“Sometimes life is terribly unfair.”

Posting to her Instagram stories, Saira added her own condolences to her grieving former co-star Brenda.

After confirming she had just heard the news, The Apprentice runner-up wrote: “I am devastated for @brendaedwardsglobal and send her and her whole family my prayers and deepest sympathies.

“I met @jalamedewards whilst filming a children’s show and was struck by his humility and passion to help kids to believe in their talents.

“RIP young man. You were a bright shining light here on earth.

“Now you will shine brightly in the sky.”

Jamal appeared on Loose Women opposite his mother Brenda late last year.

The British entrepreneur established the pioneering urban music platform SB.TV, which helped launch stars including Jessie J, Dave and Ed Sheeran.

Celebrities including Adam Deacon, Skepta, London Hughes, Fearne Cotton and Laura Whitmore have all paid their own tributes to Jamal following news of his passing.

Brenda featured on the Loose Women panel last week and also sent a video message into Friday’s show.
