Lorraine Kelly slams Harry and Meghan and tells them to fix royal rift before Jubilee

Lorraine Kelly has demanded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to fix their royal rift ahead of the Queen’s royal celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee set to take place next month.

During Thursday’s (May 26) instalment of the popular ITV morning show, the beloved Scott, 62, welcomed royal commentator Russell Myers onto the show to discuss the plans for the jubilee service in the coming weeks.

Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to join the monarch and the rest of the Royal Family for the televised service, as the eyes of the nation continue to focus on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And Lorraine couldn’t help but ask that the family-of-four “get on with it” in a bid to heal the public rift between the royals for the sake of Her Majesty’s celebrations.

As she welcomed the royal expert on the show, he explained: “The Platinum Jubilee celebrations are in the next few days and Harry and Meghan are coming in, but I can already reveal there has been a reunion.

“Because Madame Tussauds has released some new pictures this morning of Harry and Meghan about to jet in as the waxworks have had a bit of a makeover.”

The waxworks are part of a new exhibition in the name of the royal celebration and will feature the monarch as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Lorraine added: “We want them all to be together and for goodness sake, just get over this” as Russel pointed out that viewers could expect “some fireworks” at the televised event.

She continued: “You know what it is like with families – when there is something like a big do, you have to all kind of get on with it.”

It comes after the TV presenter slammed the Duke and Duchess of Cambrige’s royal tour through the Caribbean as she admitted her “toes are still curling” from embarrassment.

Scottish broadcaster Ayesha Hazrika joined the mum-of-one on the show last month where she discussed the exotic trip back in March.

She quipped: “The Royal Family, if [we’ve learned] anything from the Cabbiean trip, they need to calm down and make it more modern.”

It was at this point that Lorraine chimed in with: “My toes are still curling from that! They need to do their thing.”
