Lorraine red-faced as Ben Shephard promises pyjama-clad pillow fight in flirty exchange

Lorraine Kelly couldn’t hide her blush on Friday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain, as Ben Shephard suggested a pillow fight in their pyjamas.

The flirty exchange came as the GMB studio cut to Lorraine’s programme via video link to give viewers an idea of what they can expect from the episode.

Ben kicked off the conversation by asking her: “Do you fancy a bit of a professional pillow fight, Lorraine?” as Kate Garraway corrected: “Ooh I imagine she’s an amateur one!”

Lorraine couldn’t help but reply: “Do I fancy a pillow fight – what, with you? Yeah!” as the discussion took on a definite flirty undertone.

Ben explained: “It’s a professional spot now. There’s a world championship.”

“Oh that would be great!” Lorraine replied, telling Ben: “Can you make that happen, please? All kinds of images are going through my head… all very good!

Kate interjected: “Me too! You’re both in your PJs, whacking each other!”

Ben was up for a pillow fight

Ben told the host: “I’m up for it, Lorraine – I’m always up for it!” and she cheekily responded: “I know!”

The trio of hosts couldn’t help but collapse into giggles over the flirty exchange – and Lorraine quickly turned the conversation to what was coming up in her own programme.

It’s hardly the first time the pair have shared a flirty exchange, with Lorraine gushing over how Ben looked in a kilt as the pair celebrated her 62nd birthday.

The presenter was taken aback by Ben’s bare legs in the Scottish garment, as she said: “You see my reaction?”

Ben then responded: “I did see your reaction! My knees do that to people Lorraine.”

Lorraine gushed: “Oh listen, you really rock that. You’ve done it in the way I like with the jumper and the nice boots and the socks and awww, that’s lovely. You have made my day.”

GMB host Susanna Reid told her: “How has that happened for you, as you look half of that? And Ben is going to celebrate in a very special way this morning by providing you with a birthday card.”

Lorraine airs from 9am weekdays on ITV.
