Love Island's Luca's sister 'sick from crying' after star receives death threats

The sister of Love Island star Luca Bish has revealed she’s been physically sick from crying over death threats her brother has received.

Luca’s sister Claudia has been handling her brother’s social media accounts whilst the fishmonger has been in the Love Island villa.

The worried sibling took to Instagram to reveal the abusive messages her brother has been sent has caused her to be “sick from crying so much”.

The message, which has since been deleted, came after the explosive movie night episode on Sunday night (July 17) which saw Luca fume at Gemma Owen over her chats with Billy Brown.

The fishmonger accused Gemma of flirting with the Casa Amor hunk and entertaining his advances, but Michael Owen’s daughter insisted she’d done nothing wrong.

Luca’s sister shared the post as viewers slammed Luca’s behaviour towards Gemma on social media after the episode.

She wrote: “Please please please stop messaging abuse. Luca can’t even see it… the people that love him the most can.

“I’ve just been sick from crying so much at the death threats (an hour on from the last story). How can people be so inhumane.”

The post came just an hour after the Love Island contestants’ families and friends pledged to ‘stand together against the hate’ in a joint statement defending the stars and urging viewers to be kind.

A joint statement was released last night on each of this year’s Islanders’ social media accounts that read: “Although we have never met, we stand together today united against the hate messages and insults that some viewers seem to think is acceptable to throw at our friends, songs, daughters and family members.

“Your hate has no place on our pages or in society in general.”

Sunday’s Movie Night episode left Luca reeling as he watched his villa beau Gemma chat to a flirty Billy in a game that revealed clips of hidden Casa Amor antics.

On Friday night, a clip titled She’s Just Not That Into You had showed Gemma seemingly agreeing with Dami Hope’s ‘prediction’ that her head could be turned if the ‘right person’ walked in.

A second clip showed Billy throwing his arm around her while Luca watched on from a beanbag.

But on Sunday night the boys’ team won the quiz and chose to view a clip Good Bill Hunting, which showed more conversations between Gemma and Billy.

The video showed Billy asking if he could feed Gemma, who told him “friends can’t hug”. A further clip then showed the pair chatting on a beanbag, in what Luca described as ‘flirting’.

Luca fumed: “‘Just bring me a f**king bird in and watch. Trust me when I say, if she wants to f**king play games with me, I’ll play with it. I can’t be with someone like that, I’m sorry.”

Later in the episode, Luca asked Billy what he thought of his chats with Gemma, to which he admitted he was ‘confused’ and said the chats were ‘flirty’.

Luca called Billy over to the firepit to join them and asked “did you feel like she was flirting with you?” and Billy answered “yeah, it was just flirty banter.” Gemma then agreed:“Did we have a flirty chat? Yes.”

But as Gemma previously denied flirting, Luca replied: “But just a minute ago you said you didn’t have a flirty chat, you literally said I wasn’t flirting.”

Gemma insisted: “I don’t think any lines have been crossed.”
