Neighbours bringing back 23 ex cast members for soap's month-long goodbye

Neighbours has confirmed that a whopping 23 ex-cast members will return to the show for a month-long celebration.

Ahead of the iconic soap’s final episode (number 8,903) on Monday, August 1, former Ramsay Street residents from across four decades will pop in to Erinsborough to give fans a blast of nostalgia.

Joining iconic fan favourites Scott and Charlene, aka Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue, are well loved characters including Harold Bishop, Joel Samuels, Izzy Hoyland and Mal Kennedy.

After 37 years of giving viewers the perfect blend of drama and humour, these returns will help soften the blow of the show’s ending for its loyal fans.

Harold will reunite with Paul, Karl and Susan

Legendary former cast member Ian Smith, who played tuba-playing cafe owner Harold Bishop, said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be back. It really will be an end of an era and I am so proud to have been a part of it.”

Daniel MacPherson, who played poster boy athlete Joel Samuels, said: “Joining Neighbours at age 17 kick started a career that continues to be the adventure of a lifetime.”

Toadie and Joel will enjoy a catch up
