Australian hit soap Neighbours is set to air its final episode after 40 years on our screens. The show was dropped by Channel 5 and failed to secure funding from other networks.
Back in March, Neighbours confirmed the news releasing a statement that confirmed it would be ceasing production after an “extensive search for alternative funding.”
Neighbours created some of our favourite stars, including Jason Donavon and Kylie Minogue, who have been approached to appear in the final episode.

However, rounding up all the celebrities Neighbour’s has created might be a tough job, as some have gone on to become billionaires, Hollywood actresses and even superheroes after finding fame on the show.
Here we reveal the soap’s biggest earners and their net worth:
Holly Valance – £823million
Holly played Felicity ‘Flick’ Scully before leaving the show in 2002 to pursue a music career. Her single Kiss Kiss went to number one on the UK Official Singles Chart.
Returning to acting, Holly appeared alongside Liam Neeson in Taken as well as acting in American TV shows CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and Entourage to name a few.
She took park in 2011’s Strictly Come Dancing line up and made it to the semi-final before finishing in fourth place.
Holly has £15 million of her own money but the majority of her wealth comes from her British billionaire husband and property mogul, Nick Candy, who she married in 2013.
Last year, Nick treated her to a £26million luxury yacht and drafted in hypnotist Paul McKenna to cure her seasickness.
Chris Hemsworth – £97million
Hollywood actor Chris had a short appearance on the show back in 2002 as Jamie Kane, who worked alongside Steph Scully in the garage.
His appearance earned him a major spot on rival Australian soap, Home and Away as Kim Hyde.
Best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hemsworth has also starred in blockbusters including Rush, The Cabin In The Woods, Men In Black International and Spiderhead.
In 2019, Chris was listed as the second on the Forbes’ Highest Paid Actors list. In 2020, it was announced the Hollywood actor would star in the Mad Max: Fury Road spin-off Furiosa, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy.

Outside of music, Kylie launched a wine brand back in 2020, named after her and became the UK’s number one Rose.
