Peter Kay apologised to listeners after accidentally letting slip a swear word while he joined Zoe Ball on her breakfast show.
The comedian – who recently announced a comeback tour – co-hosted Zoe’s BBC Radio show on Wednesday (9 November) and made the gaffe as they discussed what he was wearing.
The radio star was complimenting Peter on his black and orange get up and he replied: “I’m just wearing a bloody polo shirt!”

“Sorry I swore!” he added.
“Did you?” asked Zoe, who apparently hadn’t heard his little slip.
Car Share star Peter went on: “I apologise Britain for saying that word, bloody.”
And Zoe chimed in: “I’m so sorry… you just said it again!”
The Phoenix Nights star, 49, pointed out that he “could have said it in the context of blood so there’s an excuse on that”.
“I won’t swear again,” insisted the star.
The comedy legend has not been in the spotlight much since 2017, when he called off a string of shows due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.
But he announced at the weekend that he would be hitting the road for an all-new live stand-up tour.
He will play dates in Manchester and Birmingham this year, then next year has lined up shows in places including Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Belfast.
