Javine Hylton appeared on Popstars: The Rivals almost two decades ago and only just missed out on a place in Girls Aloud.
The TV star, now 40, pursued a solo career after her stint on the show and her debut single Real Things came out the following year – which charted at Number 4 in the charts.
After this she represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 before taking a break away from the music industry to focus on her family.
Javine shares eldest child, Angel, now 14, with fellow musician Michael Harvey Jr,aka MC Harvey.
The singer has two more kids including his youngest child, who was born last summer and she refers to as Zacky.
The singer often shares updates about her family life on social media which is a world away from her former showbiz lifestyle.
These days her image has undergone a dramatic transformation.
Javine has not completely ditched her celebrity lifestyle and sometimes makes public appearances – including the premier of the Lion King musical in 2019.
She also attended a 20th anniversary event for the musical after playing Nala in the West End production for two years prior her Popstars appearance when she was in her late teenage years.
Javine auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals and made it to the final six for a place in the girl band.
The line of up the group ended up being made up of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and the late Sarah Harding.
Javine debut single, Real Things, came out in 2003 and soared to Number 4 in the UK charts – her biggest hit position ever.
She later went on to win the Eurovision UK audition in 2005, with her rendition of Making Your Mind Up
She later ended up representing the UK at the contest that year and finished with 18 points, in 22nd place.
In 2008, Javine appeared on TV series The Underdog Show.
In 2009, she made an uncredited guest appearance on the television show Skins. and appeared on Celebrity Come Dine With Me in 2010, where she came second.
