Prince George loves one children’s TV show so much that the creators have made a special episode dedicated to the royal.
The eight-year-old prince’s parents, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, revealed George was a big fan of one hit children’s TV programme.
Kate Middleton told BBC Radio One how much the young prince enjoyed watching Fireman Sam.
She said: “Fireman Sam has taken an awful lot of interest.”
The Duchess was seen in 2016 buying a Fireman Sam reading book for her son at a charity shop.
Kate also went on to explain that George loves helicopters which appear in the hit TV show.
The show’s producers seemed to be thrilled about their royal fan and have decided to create a special episode dedicated to Prince George.
The show celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2018 and created a special episode to mark the occasion.
They gave George and his dad William, 39, a cameo and named the episode, The Prince in Pontypandy.
In the fictional programme the Welsh village of Pontypandy where Sam and his fire crew live receive a special surprise visitor who was in fact an unnamed prince.
Sam and his crew were given the task to organise an event, however, when one of the character’s falls down a ravine the prince himself comes to the rescue in a helicopter.
This was clearly a nod to Prince William’s experience of flying search and rescue helicopters.
Following the prince’s heroics he receives a toy helicopter which seems to be a tribute to George.
The news follows after it has been reported that George’s sister, Princess Charlotte, 6, is not allowed a best friend at school due to other pupils being made to feel left out.
George and Charlotte both attend Thomas’s School in Battersea which costs £18,000 a year and comes with a set of unique rules.
Speaking in the Express, royal reporter Jane Moore said: “There’s a policy that if your child is having a party, unless every child in the class is invited, you don’t give out invites in class.
“There are signs everywhere saying be kind, that’s the ethos of the school. They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”
