Prince Harry branded 'disloyal and rude' for Netflix deal after The Crown backlash

Netflix’s The Crown has grown in popularity since its launch as the TV series followed the journey of Queen Elizabeth II.

The series has covered multiple key events in history, from Queen Elizabeth’s reign to Princess Diana’s royal presence – and as the next series is expected to cover Diana’s tragic death, it’s likely her two sons will soon have a prominent role.

Prince Harry and Prince William have already been mentioned, just not as leading roles, but that could change with upcoming series.

And while the now US-based royal should expect a mention or two in the upcoming series, he has made his thoughts about the Megxit storyline quite clear.

Royal expert Angela Levin believes Netflix will do what Harry has requested because they will want their “pint of blood” from the royals later on.

Speaking on TalkRadio earlier in the week, Angela said that Harry previously asked her if she was watching The Crown, prompting her to question if he was also.

She added: “He said, ‘Yes. We’re all absolutely watching everything but I’m going to insist it stops before it reaches me’.”

Levin said she thinks it’s “disloyal and rude” of him to take money from Netflix.

She said the conversation came when the popular series was in its second instalment.

Prince Harry previously watched the series – but his life turned into a major plotline for the show which follows the story of the Royal Family.

His life has always been at the centre of the spotlight, but more light shone on Harry after his engagement and ultimate marriage to Meghan Markle.

After the pair welcomed their firstborn together they decided to leave the UK and step back as senior royals, with their main residency taking place in the US.

They’ve since had their second child overseas and come back to the UK for important events including, most recently, the Queen’s Jubilee.

Despite controversy surrounding the pair, Harry maintains that he has a good relationship with The Queen, previously stating on The Today Show: “We have a really special relationship. We talk about things she can’t talk about with anyone else.”
