Stacey Solomon has revealed she has blocked her fiancé Joe Swash on Instagram in order to keep his 40th birthday present a surprise..
The Loose Women panellist recently told how she is planning a variety of renovations to the couple’s Pickle Cottage home to make his birthday extra special, including transforming their “Cluedo Room” into a Man Cave for Joe.
It appears she is going the extra mile to make it a birthday to remember after admitting last year on Instagram she forgot his special day and had to panic buy his gifts.
And the TV personality has been sharing updates of the renovations.
Joe shares son, Harry, with his ex Emma Sophocleous, and two children with Stacey, son Rex and baby daughter Rose.
Stacey also has two sons from a previous relationship.
Joe celebrated his 40th birthday on Thursday, January 20 but the reveal of the home transformation has had to be delayed as all the couple’s kids could not be there.
Stacey sent Joe on a fishing trip for a couple of days and plans to do the big reveal at the weekend.
The presenter explained on her Instagram Story: “Not all of our pickles can get back here after school now and none of us want to show him without one of the boys, they’re all so excited so we will wait until we get them all on the weekend.
“Blended families ey! But it’s worth it for the extra love.”
She told how she and Joe had a nice breakfast on Thursday morning, before she told him he could go fishing for a couple of days.
She added: “I’ve never seen someone pack their bags so quickly in my life.”
She later explained she had blocked Joe from being able to view her Instagram stories, in order to keep his birthday present a surprise.
Wishing him a happy birthday, she said: “Even though he’s still blocked from my stories, I’ll show them all to him after the weekend so I can’t let the day go by without saying Happy Birthday bub. To the moon and back always and forever.”
