Strictly is always linked to a lot of romance between the stars and dance partners and this series was no different with the singer being linked to EastEnders ‘ Maisie Smith.

Though he has since revealed that the pair were only ever “just friends” the whole time, however, he did enjoy the public speculation.

Host Carly asked: “Is it true you played up a bit with Maisie because I thought it was fun for people to be a bit sceptical of it?”

To which HRVY gave a long pause and said: “Er kind of, I mean, I don’t know, people talk and write about stuff along as you don’t deny it and just go with it.

“I was enjoying seeing people saying HRVY and Maisie were doing this and this person and that person and that person is doing this and that, they definitely haven’t because we were all sat in the same room chatting about it but yeah it was quite fun to see what people would make up I suppose.”

Carly then asked: “Can you all laugh about it despite knowing it’s all blown out of proportion then?”

“Oh yeah, 100%.”

“Do people play up to it sometimes though?” the host asked

HRVY answered: “Some people may, I don’t know, we didn’t play up to it we just didn’t say anything thought it was funny watching people put two and two together, so kind of…”

He laughed: “It’s all showbiz, smoke and mirrors, darling…”
