Strictly Come Dancing stars Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice took to social media to mark a special achievement as they wrap up the last few days of the Strictly tour.
The dancing duo picked up the Timeline Moment of the Year gong at Thursday night’s Broadcast Awards, in honour of their stunning performance to Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’s single To Symphony on Strictly’s latest series.
The nationwide Strictly tour meant that neither Rose or Giovanni could attend the event, but both took to Instagram on Friday to react, reports the Express.
In view of his 799,000 followers, the pro dancer Giovanni wrote: “Another incredible achievement for us @rose.a.e and our amazing @bbcstrictly family!!
“We love you.”
Meanwhile, Rose expressed her gratitude on her Instagram Story.
“Thank you!!!” she penned.
“This is so exciting.”
The former EastEnders actress took home the Glitterball Trophy back in December after beating Bake Off star John Whaite in December’s exciting final.
And by January 20, Giovanni and Rose were reunited when the Strictly tour commenced with its first set of shows at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
At the time, the pair were snapped enjoying each other’s company as they made their way out of the venue together.
Giovanni kept his hand over Rose’s shoulder while conversing with onlookers before exiting the building, while the TV star seemed in good spirits with a beaming smile on her face.
Given their sizzling chemistry on Strictly, many fans assumed that the dancing duo were romantically involved with one another.
But Rose is very much still in a relationship with her longtime boyfriend, Samuel Arnold, who she has been with for seven years.
Since his split from Love Island star Maura Higgins in October, Giovanni is said to have remained single.
However, earlier this week, he was alleged to have shared a kiss with TV actress Emily Atack following a night out at a BRIT Awards afterparty in London.
Sources told The Sun: “Giovanni and Emily were snogging the faces off each other.
“Their hands were everywhere, and they were absolutely loving it.”
In an Instagram Story post on Thursday, the Italian-born TV personality appeared to address rumours of a romance with Emily.
Giovanni posted a Memoji of himself crying with laughter while his caption included lyrics to ABBA’s Mamma Mia, Here I Go Again.
“That is all,” he wrote in his caption.
