The Masked Singer UK return confirmed as ITV renews wacky show for two more series

The Masked Singer will be on our screens until 2024 with loads more bonkers costumes.

ITV’s guessing game hosted by Joel Dommett has proved so successful after three series on the box, bosses have ordered two more.

Saturday’s final – won by ex-Neighbours star Natalie Imbruglia as Panda – drew a peak audience of 7.8 million.

Bandicoot TV, who make the show, are thrilled.

Boss Derek McLean said: “We are already plotting the next spectacularly surreal season.”

Winner Natalie Imbruglia said on Monday she was sad to hear Neighbours – the Australian soap where she launched her career as Beth Brennan – was being axed after 37 years and she would love to return for the finale.

She said: “I am really sad. All of us love Neighbours and have grown up with it.

“It should go on forever. This is just a travesty. I’ll sign the petition. Let’s keep the show running.

“I’d consider going back. It would be lovely to walk through those doors again.”

Natalie also hit back at TV viewers who claimed she should not have won on Saturday as they thought runner-up Charlotte Church who was Mushroom was “a better singer”.

She added: “It’s a fun family show and I don’t think it should be seriously competitive. The over-arching thing is the fun we had.”

Meanwhile singer Jamelia – whom the judges incorrectly guessed was Rockhopper – has revealed she would never take part in the show.

She said: “I’m not interested, because it’s a competition. If I’m going to do music, it will be on my own terms.”

Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross are celebrity detectives on the ITV show

Regular panellists Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan were joined by special guest singer Joss Stone, who won the second series performing as Sausage, for the final.

To celebrate her win, Aussie pop singer Natalie enjoyed a viewing party with a group of friends and shared video of the gathering to Instagram.

As footage of her unmasking as Panda played on a large wall-mounted TV, she giggled and squealed with delight.

Jumping up and down while the crowd on screen and in the room around her cheered, Natalie seemed truly chuffed.

She wrote in her caption: ‘So there you have it.. I am Panda! Such fun… what a great experience and thank you to everyone on the show and to all who helped me keep the secret!’
