Tipping Point fans were left fuming after a winning contestant revealed his own victory.
As three new contestants took to their podiums to bag a big cash prize, contestant Brian McNott took to Twitter to engage with fans as the latest episode of the newly formatted series was underway.
Brian, a social worker from Glasgow, could be seen racing ahead of his fellow contestants and securing a nice lead in the first round.
It was then that Brian surfaced on Twitter, sharing a picture of him posing alongside host Ben Shepard on set with a big smile on his face.
Captioning the revealing snap, he said: “Cmon then Twitter – what you got for me??? #Tippingpoint.”
Fans immediately rushed to the comments accusing the contestant of dropping a major clue that he won the episode.
“Looks like you’ve spoilt it for us all, you won then??,” said one angry viewer.
Another fumed: ‘Brian’s a jammy c*nt…. #tippingpoint”
Others agreed he had revealed his victory, but rooted for the star to take home the the £10k cash prize.
“We reckon you win the jackpot,” added another fan.
Brian did make it to the final with an impressive £3150 in his bank.
Ultimately he was unable to drop the jackpot counter, and opted to take home his £4400 winnings instead of trading in for three more counters.
Tipping Point viewers recently experienced a similar problem after a bad actor exposed the winner of the game show online during a repeat episode.
As fans took to Twitter to enjoy the ITV show together, one mean viewer left fans up in arms when they announced the winner’s name just a few minutes into the episode.
Causing a stir amongst viewers, one fan tweeted: “Old episode Ruth wins sorry #TippingPoint.”
Angry viewers were quick to express their frustration at the shocking post, with one clapping back: “Why would you do that and ruin it for the rest of us?”
Fans have been expressive their disapproval of the show’s new format this week after the show dropped a contestant from the podium, leaving three in place of the usual four.
The show also saw more time added to the clock, allowing contestants to win more chips to play in the machine.
Fans flocked to Twitter to blast the change, arguing that it takes the competitive edge away from the show and is far less entertaining
