Singer Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey posted a heartfelt public about the star message days before his passing.
The Wanted star died on March 30 aged 33 after a battle with brain cancer.
Tom and his band have recently toured together and Kelsey shared a sweet message on her Instagram profile after her husband joined them on stage.
The picture showed the singer sitting on a throne, wearing a pair of sunglasses as his loving bandmates surrounded him, a snapshot of happiness during such a dark time for the band.
Kelsey’s caption read: “That’s my husband. You’ve made us so proud. Love you,” and tagged his account at the end of her message.
Just days after she posted the picture of her husband with his friends Max George, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran, Tom passed away.
Kelsey broke the news to her followers the day he died via a tear-jerking Instagram post.
She wrote: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken. Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.”
Kelsey continued: “We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you.”
The couple have two children together, two-year-old Aurelia and eighteen-month-old Bodhi.
Tom was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2020 and reunited with his bandmates a year later for a Stand Up 2 Cancer gig at the Royal Albert Hall with McFly, Ed Sheeran and Sigrid.
Their recent Greatest Hits tour ended just weeks before his death.
The Wanted boys seemed very close, particularly Tom and Max, and especially after they first shot to fame as a group of five.
Over the course of their careers, the band sold over 12 million records and their official Instagram account released a message addressing the sad news.
The statement said that the Wanted family are “devastated” by the “premature loss” of their bandmate who was an “amazing husband and father”.
