Alison Hammond found fame with her antics on Big Brother in 2002 before becoming a much-loved regular on This Morning.
It was her big on-screen personality that won her legions of fans, ensuring she was an early reality TV success story.
She has been presenting Friday slots on This Morning with Dermot O’Leary — another Big Brother veteran, having presented its spin-off show, Big Brother’s Little Brother, on Channel 4 — with the pair interviewing Hollywood celebs together since 2020.
Hammond has not been shy about trying out other reality avenues following her time in the Big Brother house 20 years ago.
She has previously appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2010 and took part in both Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Masterchef in 2014.
Although a private person, the Brummie recently was forced to come clean that she had been seeing someone, having chosen to keep the mystery man out of the public eye for 18 months.
Who was Alison Hammond married to?
Broadcaster Alison Hammond was married to Manchester cab driver Noureddine Boufaied.
It is not known when Alison and her ex-husband divorced but they share a son, 17-year-old Aiden.
It was on ITV’s This Morning that a pregnant Alison had a scan all those years ago and discovered she was expecting a boy.
Following the breakdown of her marriage, she looked to be on her way down the aisle a second time a few years later.
In 2014, she got engaged to single dad and security guard Jamie Savage after meeting online.
But sadly it wasn’t to be and in 2017 she said the agony of their heartbreak had put her off finding love again.
“We split up. It’s the worst news ever. I don’t think I want anyone else now,” said Hammond.
The former cinema worker was briefly involved with audio technician Ben Kusi who she met on Celebs Go Dating earlier in 2020.
Until only recently, it was believed she was still single.
Alison Hammond’s boyfriend
Having had her heart broken on a number of occasions, Hammond decided to play it cool with her latest flame by not talking about their romance publicly.
But that was until co-host O’Leary let it slip during one of their presenting slots in June.
He told viewers Alison was “not available anymore” — much to his co-star’s shock.
After initially trying to throw the audience off the scent, she decided to come clean about her new beau.
“There is somebody in my life. I’m going to tell everybody. Thank you, Dermot, for telling everyone but there is somebody I’m dating,” she said on This Morning.
“So yes, it is a little bit closed but you know what, I want to share it. Thank you for outing me. I literally tell you once and you tell everybody.”
She divulged more information when speaking to The Sun about her mystery guy, including the way he pampers her.
Hammond said: “Can you believe Dermot outed me on the TV? I’m a little bit disappointed to be honest with you as I can’t flirt with no one else now.
“He’s a lovely man and all I can say is that I’ve had him hidden for a year and a half. A year and a half I’ve been with him, and no one knew!
“He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?!”
In the days after the accidental reveal, Hammond told ITV’s Lorraine: “I’m not going to say we’re in love or everything like that, but what I will say is that he makes my heart sing.
“He enriches my life in ways I’ve never had before.”
