The One Show hosts Zoe Ball and Gethin Jones joked with fans they had been banned by BBC producers from working together.
With the Welsh host explaining that he’d waiting for over a decade to work with the blonde TV personality but chiefs of the show had always declined his request.
The 44-year-old Strictly Come Dancing IT Takes Two presenter said: “And I’ve been trying to work with you for about ten years.”
Zoe added: “We worked on the same show but they would never let us present at the same time.
“So for one night only, the first and last time we will ever be teamed up.”
“We might go out with a bang though because we do have a packed show to help you get into the spirit of the weekend,” chimed in Gethin.
Later on, the twosome didn’t see eye-to-eye when the topic of ice baths was raised on the programme.
Speaking about what they had coming up on the show, Gethin explained: “Bit of music, some comedy and a bit on car boot sales and maybe even some ice water swimming.”
Turning to his co-star for the the evening, he asked: “Are you up for that?”
“No,” exclaimed Zoe before she revealed: “You have cold showers though don’t you?
The Gogglebox Celebrity star added: “I’m such a baby I’d hate it.”
In response, Gethin commented: “I do, I don’t mind an ice bath either.”
Baffled, Zoe questioned: “Really? Why?
Looking slightly embarrassed, he swiftly replied with: “It’s good for you…”
“Is it? Okay, we’ll find out more about that a little later on,” interjected Zoe.
