BBC One viewers have shared the same complaint after watching the launch episode of TOWIE star Mark Wright’s new TV show, A Wright Family Holiday.
Joined by his brother Josh and dad Mark Snr, the travel show saw the trio visit some of the UK’s most beautiful hotspots, as they went head-to-head in activities such as downhill biking in the Scottish Highlands and spending the night in a cave.
But fans were all struggling to understand the concept of the show, with many asking why taxpayer money is being spent to take a wealthy family on a “free holiday.”

“So glad my hard earned licence fee is paying for you and your family to have a holiday. Disgraceful !” said one fan.
Another blasted: “So glad my hard earned licence fee is going to good use. Paying for Mark Wright to have a holiday with his family!”
A third echoed: “So the BBC are using licence payers money to pay for a bunch of male millionaires to have a family holiday which gets filmed?”
A fourth penned: “Why has this delusional wannabe and his muppeteers been given a six part series? I mean WHO is interested?”
But some weren’t so hostile to the format, revealing they enjoyed watching the star travel the UK with his family.
“What a nice idea to build his dads confidence back up and a chance for them to bond as adults,” one fan gushed.
Another added: “Watching your show, and you’re all an inspiration well done. What wonderful family.”
Speaking ahead of the show, Mark revealed: “I’m absolutely buzzing for this.
At this stage in my life, I want to do things that I really want to do and love,” Mark previously revealed.
“I’m getting to travel the country, see places I would never normally have seen, take on adrenaline experiences, challenge myself – what I love to do most – and do all of this with two of my favourite people on earth.
“My two best mates: the bro and my dad. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to get started. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride.”
As well as previously appearing on TOWIE alongside his brother, Mark’s brother Josh is a professional footballer who currently plays for Ebbsfleet United. His past clubs include Millwall, Southend United and Bradford City.
Mark Senior has had several businesses in the past, including a car dealership in the 1990s.
He married Mark’s mum, Carol, in 1983, and, as well as Mark and Josh, the couple are parents to fellow TOWIE star Jessica, 37, and youngest daughter Natalya, 22.
