The young magician who has autism stunned the judges during his audition with some amazing card tricks.
After the youngster got a unanimous yes from all the panel he started sobbing – sparking an emotional reaction from Amanda, Alesha and new judge Bruno Tonioli.
After the autistic youngster, who is from Ireland, performed a series of magic tricks Simon Cowell described him as “unbelievably talented” and he got a standing ovation from the audience.
Cillian then teared up and cheer while dancing around the stage.
An emotional Amanda told him: “You’ve made me and Alesha a mess. You were amazing. I mean absolutely phenomenal. I’m really glad magic has given you confidence.” Alesha added it was clear that appearing on the show meant so much to he performer who was open in his act about how he struggled with social situations before finding his skills.”
Bruno Tonioli also broke down and shouted: “Why am I crying?”
Simon said Cillian’s magic card trick “freaked him out”, adding: “There’s something really, really incredible about you and you’re such an amazing performer.”
Viewers were left stunned by Cillan’s performance and rushed to Twitter to shower him with compliments.
One gushed: ”Cillian O’Connor was absolutely fantastic on Britain’s got Talent.”
Another said: ”I never watch Britain’s Got Talent and now here I am crying over Cillian”.
Before his act Cillian said: “If I can make them believe in magic and perform at the Royal Variety Show I will genuinely cry – honestly. Before magic, my social skills were very bad, I would just be in the corner and I didn’t want to be within 50 feet of anyone. When I was younger I was unable to interact with people, I felt incomplete, I felt invisible. After discovering magic, it felt like my life changed, it felt like a lightbulb coming on inside my head and I found a way to interact with people through my magic.”
Cillian was inspired to start performing magic after seeing psychic Issy Simpson’s performing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017.
Britain’s Got Talent launches on Saturday 15th April, 20:00 and continues on Sunday 16th April, 19:45 on ITV1 and ITVX.
