American Idol fans have vowed to boycott the US talent show after Katy Perry shoved her latex-clad bum in her co-star’s face.
The I Kissed A Girl songstress decided to cosplay as Elastigirl from The Incredibles as she took her place on the judging panel alongside country singer Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Dressed from head-to-toe in red rubber, Katy covered her hands in black latex gloves and let the red costume show off her slender waist and thighs.

She added a cat-eye rubber mask over her face and hid her own hair in an auburn bobbed wig for a special episode of the show – Disney Night.

Making her epic entrance, Katy struck several body-building poses and sticking out her bum alongside her fellow judges, neither of whom had dressed up for the occasion.
However, host Ryan Seacrest did opt for a costume of his own, donning a robe decorated with bright yellow rubber ducks over an Aladdin t-shirt with the words “Let’s make some magic” emblazoned across the front.
Ryan asked Katy: “Is this a safer costume than last year?” – referencing the time Katy had struggled to get seated in her chair.
Bouncing to her feet, Katy replied: “That’s right, I did! But you know, I love this costume because… this!”

She then twisted her hips and poked her bum into Luke Bryan’s face, who looked rather shocked by the motion and held his hands high in the air.
Dark Horse songstress Katy got whoops and wolf-whistles from the audience with her raunchy moves, before she lifted her leg high and stretched it across the desk.
Encased in her rubber ensemble, Katy chuckled: “I do wish there was a little more air conditioning in here.”
However, fans at home weren’t impressed by her behaviour, and threatened to boycott the show while she remains a judge.

One Twitter user said: “Watching American Idol for likely the last time. Why don’t they just call it The Katy Perry Show and get it over with? The show is all about her, not the contestants.”
As another echoed: “It would be different if they all dressed up, but she’s been the only one every year!”
Somebody else branded Katy’s behaviour “attention seeking”, as another fan posted; “Katy Perry ruins the show because it’s always about her! She has to be the centre of attention.”
However, others were loving Katy’s new look, as one social media user said she looked “fabulous” in her costume.
“Katy gives the best commentary with the contestants,” somebody else agreed.
As another fan gushed: “Mother is mothering!”
