BGT’s Simon Cowell smashed in face with pie as fans praise ‘best ever TV moment’

Simon Cowell was slammed in the face by a cream pie on tonight’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent (June 1)

The TV judge was enjoying a performance by the kids group Boycanto when one of the youngsters suddenly jumped off the stage a smashed a pie on his face – leaving fans and judges stunned.

Simon’s fellow judges burst into laughter at the sight of him covered in cream.

The child in question even gloated to Ant and Dec “It’s not every day you get to pie Simon Cowell in the face,” as the crowd roared with laughter.

Viewers at home were equally amused, dubbing it the best moment ever.

“Well, Simon wanted them to be naughty and they sure were! Literally eating his words now. great, fun, entertaining performance,” gushed one fan.

“This was so funny Simon got a pie in the face and Ant and Dec trying to keep away from him,” added a second.

Another penned: “Simon getting cream pied is possibly the best part of tonight’s show,” followed by a gif of Mrs Doubtfire in the iconic cream pie scene.

Simon was then seen walking onto the stage as the group appeared to fake terror at his impending reaction.

Ant and Dec even tried to playfully block the kids from his wrath.

But Simon high fived the lively bunch, telling them he loved their performance.

He even admitted that he told them to be a bit “naughtier” in their performance and now he is literally eating his words.

Before the infamous piegate, fans took to social media to comment on Simon Cowell’s appearance.

The music mogul took his seat dressed in red-tinted glasses, and it didn’t go unnoticed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Simon even addressed his choice of outfit, telling the hosts it was in aid of all the Golden Buzzer acts.

“Are you feeling confident?” Ant asked Simon about his Golden Buzzer act performing.

“Why do you think I have got these on?” Simon replied as he took off his glasses. “These are my Golden Buzzer glasses.”

BGT continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV.
