Carol Vorderman gives update on whereabouts as I’m A Celeb fans ask same question

I’m A Celebrity: South Africa viewers were bewildered after Carol Vorderman posted a video on Instagram – from her home

The TV favourite was signed up to take part in the All Star series of the show – but they were left scratching their heads after seeing Vorders go live on her Instagram.

Many viewers at home were aware of the shakeup which meant the celebrities were no longer in the camp, but instead the show had been filmed months in advance.

But for some, seeing Vorders on Instagram at the same time she was on the TV took people by surprise.

For the first episode Carol was filming herself on Instagram while it aired on TV and wrote in the caption: “Live tonight on Instagram as soon as the first I’m A Celebrity South Africa finished. See you here tomorrow after the show.”

Immediately fans rushed to question her in the comments, with one user writing: “So you don’t stay in at night???”

While another said: “Is I’m A Celeb not live then???”

A third said: “So not live and not staying in camp? Then it’s not I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here then,” but Carol soon put her followers straight.

As Carol confirmed she was in fact at home and not in South Africa, she said: “It is recorded, the first series to do so. An extra series if you like. We had to go head to head to the death to lose campmates and remain.”

The celebrities would usually go into the jungle in Australia and the show would be filmed and edited to air the following day on ITV, with some live bits taking place at the end of the episode.

However with the new All Star series, ITV opted to film it in advance instead and have the celebrities fight to stay in camp.

Carol is one of the few celebrities to return to the show for All Stars, with the likes of Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan and Amir Khan all taking part.

But twists and turns are expected, with Gillian McKeith showing up in the camp as a surprise late arrival – and more faces are expected…
