Caroline Flack’s friends have praised Prince Harry who has spoken candidly about their short romance in his explosive memoir, Spare.
The Prince, 38, and Caroline, dated in 2009 after the pair met one another through a group of mutual friends while they enjoyed a night out in London.
However, their romance was short-lived due to the intense interest in their pairing and they decided to part ways with one another.

While Caroline was one of the biggest names in television, Harry recalls her being taken aback that he had no idea who she was at the time of their first introduction.
Following the leak of Harry’s memoir, a former talent agent who once worked with Caroline described Harry’s revelation as “gross”.
Alex Mullen said: “Harry’s decision to remind all of the terrible things said about her to help sell his appalling book is grotesque. Moreover, and perhaps worst of all, he writes as if he has any idea why Carrie took her own life, parroting media reports as if they’re reality.”
Now, Caroline’s friends have leapt to the defence of Harry, with Samantha Teasdale taking to Instagram to personally thank the late Queen’s grandson.
In view of her 106,000 followers, she wrote: “How are we turning the most famous man in the world taking the opportunity to say kind things about what a legend she was and calling out what the press did to her into a negative.
“Completely disagree. Thank you, Harry,” alongside a purple heart. Sam’s twin, Lou Teasdale later went on to share the post with her 5.4million fans, before branding Harry “Prince Charming”.
In an excerpt of his memoir, the Duke speaks about Caroline, who died aged 40, in February 2020, for the first time, describing the bubbly star as “funny,” “sweet,” and “cool”.
He wrote: “Very soon after they papped me and Flack, those photos set off a frenzy, within hours a mob was camped outside Flack’s parents’ house, and all her friends’ houses, and her grandparents’ house.”
The dad-of-two went on to acknowledge that some called Caroline his “bit of rough” as she had previously worked in a factory, which angered him and caused him to think: “I thought, are we really such a country of insufferable snobs?”
However, their relationship soon came to an end with Harry recalling: “The relationship was tainted, irredeemably, and in time we realise it just wasn’t worth the grief and harassment. Especially for her family. Goodbye, we said. Goodbye and good luck.”
The King’s son recalls feeling “so awful” for her family, adding that they had “all suffered for her moral sin” of dating a Prince after hearing about her death.
