Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ next Rovers barmaid after behind-the-scenes ‘clue’

Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve figured out who should be the next barmaid behind the iconic Rovers Return bar.

The Corrie landmark is going through some big changes at the moment, with Jenny Connor admitting that the pub has been struggling what with the cost of living crisis.

She put up prices and even reduced the portions of food served, but it didn’t go down well with Weatherfield regulars – unsurprisingly.

Jenny realised she had no choice but to find someone to buy the pub from her, with Henry Newton returning.

However when he told Jenny he wouldn’t be buying the pub, he suggested she sell it to make room for some flats.

But now viewers at home think new character Courtney Vance, played by Stephanie Davis, would be the perfect person to take over pulling pints.

Former Hollyoaks star Steph posed for a behind-the-scenes photo in which she stood behind the iconic bar, smiling as she looked off into the distance.

The 30-year-old looked gorgeous in a green jumpsuit, while her bright blonde hair was styled in loose waves which tumbled around her shoulders.

And her fans and friends alike were predicting big things for her time on Corrie, with Hollyoaks pal Ross Adams saying: “This is giving, ‘Yes, cock. What can I get yer?’ vibes. And I’m here for it.”

One fan said: “Suits you I think Courtney should buy the pub and be the new landlady.”

Another asked: “Are you gonna replace Jenny? Please say yes haha.”

A third wrote: “Haha suits you! Love it,” as another begged: “New owner. Please.”

While another commented: “Suits you being a barmaid could I possibly predict new owner of the Rovers? Hopefully.”

Stephanie joined Corrie earlier this year as Courtney, who was introduced as a love interest for Aadi Alahan.

However rather than a straight-forward romance, the relationship was revealed to be an affair, as Courtney arrived with her husband Darren, played by Ryan Early.

She said of joining the soap: “To be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.”
