Andy Whyment, who is famous for his portrayal of Coronation Street icon, Kirk Sutherland, had to leave a Craig David concert alongside his family after drunken fans wouldn’t leave him alone.
The 42-year-old turned up to Haydock Park Racecourse in anticipation of seeing one of his favourite artists, but what should’ve been a lovely memory was quickly dampened.
The star of the cobbles, was with his wife and two children when onlookers spotted him from afar and came over to bother him, rendering his daughter deeply upset.

In a moving post, Andy’s beloved wife, Nichola, who tied the knot with the soap star 16 years ago, took to social media to explain the harrowing extent of the situation.
She claimed: “Would love to say I had the best time watching Craig, but the reality of it is I didn’t!!”
“I enjoyed 11 minutes!! The rest of the time, I was on edge due to really drunk people accosting Andy & becoming arsey, which resulted in Hollie getting upset & us having to leave!! “
Thankfully, help was on hand to ensure they saw their beloved R&B hero in the end.
Nichola added: “Well, luckily @the_bus_yard saved the day, and we watched Craig from on there, but my head had fallen off by this point. “
Sadly despite fame having its perks, there are plenty of drawbacks as well — one of which being that while some people come over to be friendly, others feel no remorse for completely ruining your evening.
Nichola continued: “I’m annoyed with myself for thinking that we are able to go somewhere like this as a family and enjoy it. “
“Social media only shows the highlights as looking at these pictures you would think we had the best time ever, so a little reminder to not compare yourself to others .”
