Davide Sanclimenti has revealed Dancing On Ice bosses wanted to sign him up alongside Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu for this year’s series of the show.
Ekin-Su was featured on this year’s line-up for the hit ITV skating completion, along with the likes of Joey Essex and The Vivienne.
And throughout her Dancing On Ice Stint, beau Davide was spotted cheering her on from the sidelines – even bagging himself an appearance in one of her routines.

However, 28-year-old Ekin-Su was tragially eliminated from the show earlier this month, after losing the skate-off against EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.
And now, Davide has revealed he was supposed to take to the ice too alongside Ekin – and admitted the reason why he didn’t go through with it.
“I was supposed to do Dancing on Ice as well,” the Italian hunk told Metro.
“They wanted us to compete together but I said no mostly because I’m the kind of person that when I decide to do something I want to give my 100 percent and I knew that after coming out of Love Island I couldn’t commit a lot to the training.”
He went on: “I think next year I’ll be more free and would like to commit to the show.”
Viewers watched Ekin-Su break down in tears after it was revealed she was the next star to be booted from Dancing On Ice.
Shortly after her exit, the Love Island winner opened up about her tearful exit, and said she “cared” about her performances on Dancing On Ice and was “sad to leave”.
Speaking on a Love Island chat show on Reddit alongside Love Islander Joe Garratt, Ekin revealed: “I am strong. Yes I cried and I was upset, you know I’m human. I think that programme I always thought when I was in Love Island, all the people and viewers expected me to be strong all the time but it’s not like that.
“I cared and that’s why I cried.”
She continued: “I gave everything to that show. I had other commitments and I was juggling everything at the same time, and I had no days off at the time.
“That just being gone was just like ‘Oh my god that’s gone now’.
“But the show has made me really, really strong. Love Island made me strong and Dancing On Ice made me even stronger and I’m very grateful for that.”
