Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse has defended Ekin-Su Culculoglu, following complaints from the public about her raunchy outfit and performance during last week’s show.
The Love Island star and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield performed a steamy routine to Britney Spears’ Toxic on during Sunday’s show (January 15), which saw Ekin-Su wearing a revealing nude sheer outfit covered in silver glitter.
However, their routine led to a public outrage from some fans, who submitted more than 100 complaints to media watchdog Ofcom.

However, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Oti Mabuse has defended the Love Island star’s performance during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, saying: “If I had that body, I would wear less all the time.”
The star continued to praise Ekin-Su’s performance, saying that she “loved it” and that it was “hot, hot, hot – from the outfit to the makeup”.
Oti, who joined the Dancing On Ice judging panel in 2022, also added that she is excited “to be part of a show that gets complaints”, following the response to Ekin-Su and Brendyn’s routine.
Ekin-Su and Brendyn were one of six couples to perform in Dancing On Ice’s opening episode, with the remaining five due to perform this weekend (January 22).
However, after the pair performed their steamy routine, the judges only awarded the duo 21.5 points – before being voted to perform in the skate-off by the public.
The reality TV star will now face one of five celebrities in a dance-off in the second episode of the new series, as the competition continues to get underway.
Speaking ahead of the second episode, Oti added that she is taking a different approach to judging this series, saying: “The first year I was very excited so this year I have a new attitude.
“I’m trying to be calm and not too screechy – my role is not to show how excited I am.”
