EastEnders fans were left baffled during Wednesday’s episode of the BBC soap after spotting a huge error in Finlay Baker’s exit storyline.
The popular character has been engaged in a war with the Panesars, after Vinny cut the brakes on his car while it was undergoing repairs at the garage.
Finlay wasn’t actually the target, with Vinny intending to hurt Eve Unwin, who had planned to drive the vehicle that night.

After threatening to go to police after finding Vinny’s necklace and learning he was the one who cut the brakes – Ravi and Suki trashed his market stall and threatened to hurt his brother if he didn’t leave the square for good.
But as the plot played out on tonight’s episode, fans were confused as Finlay and his brother Felix are roommates with Chelsea Fox – who is romantically involved with Ravi.
Fans couldn’t understand why Finlay would just get Chelsea to speak to Ravi and calm the situation down.
“Finlay, here’s an idea. Tell your flatmate Chelsea to get the guy who fancies her and who was going to invest in your business five minutes ago to back off. And tell Felix that Scrappy Doo wants to do him in. Or go to the plods. It’s not rocket science,” blasted one fan.
“Wonder if before he leaves Finley will tell Chelsea about Ravi threatening him surely she can help??” penned a second.
A third added: “I don’t get the Ravi and Finlay storyline. Why wouldn’t Finlay tell his friend Eve what happened, his brother that he’s being threatened, and Chelsea what Ravi is doing?” while a fourth echoed: “Ummm Finlay is Chelsea’s best mate so why doesn’t he just threaten Ravi and say that he’ll tell Chelsea about all the stuff he’s been doing to him.
“Ravi will then surely back down cause he isn’t gonna risk losing Chelsea over this”
Clearly, the “obvious” solution to his problem wasn’t an option for Finlay as he demanded money from Suki Panesar and told his family he was taking a job in Dublin.
Fans also fumed over the fact the storyline developed during the funeral episode for Lola Pearce, as Walford gathered to say goodbye to the tragic character, who sadly passed away from a brain tumour.
Fans claimed the exit hints and the scenes “ruined” the heartbreaking episode, while others were annoyed over the possible departure.
