EastEnders fans were left fuming tonight (June 1) as the soap focused the episode on the arrival of a new family, instead of the death of long-standing character, Lola Pearce.
Fans saw Lola die a painful death from her agonizing cancer battle last night and fans were eager to see the aftermath of the tragic loss.
But some fans were angered when the focus of the episode lay heavily on the arrival of the bombastic Knight family.

Patriarch George Knight was seen bursting onto the square as Linda’s mum’s boyfriend and brought his two obnoxious daughters with him.
“Pi**ed off. Lola isn’t even cold yet and they introduce new characters. Finish a story line before starting a new maybe? #EastEnders,” said one fan.
“Lola literally died yesterday and she’s been mentioned once,” penned a second.
A third blasted: “I just wish they could have waited until Monday to introduce the Knights and had at least this one episode for Lola’s aftermath,” while a fourth added: “So they got rid of lola,a character well loved by the majority of people who watch Eastenders to bring in a new family that no one wants nor needs?!!”
George Knight rocked up in Walford with his daughters Anna and Gina in tow.
They arrived at The Vic, and Linda was stunned when George introduced himself as Elaine’s fella and told her they had arrived from Marbella to help run The Vic.
Linda was burning with rage to discover that Elaine’s plan all along had been to invite her fiancé and his family to join them.
George tried to reason with Linda that The Vic’s finances were in terrible shape, and he would be able to help them save the pub.
Linda was filming and the battle lines were drawn between them.
Meanwhile, George’s arrival caused a stir in Walford as he made his mark.
He was instantly recognized by Jack, Phil, and Winston as a championship boxer with a fearsome reputation.
Nish soon learned that George wasn’t to be messed with as the two men butted heads.
Back at The Vic, George promised Linda he wouldn’t cause trouble because all he wanted to do was build a great life with Elaine and the girls.
