EastEnders fans predict paternity bombshell as they notice 'suspicious' behaviour

EastEnders fans have predicted a paternity bombshell surrounding Lily Slater’s pregnancy, after they noticed Freddie Slater showing what they said is suspicious behaviour.

Freddie (Bobby Brazier) arrived in Albert Square in September last year, and while he appeared charming, fans reckon he may be hiding a very dark secret.

On New Year’s Day, it was revealed that 12-year-old Lily (Lillia Turner) was pregnant after she collapsed at a party.

Her mum Stacey (Lacey Turner) asked her about it and Lily said she’d slept with Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day), also 12, once because they were “bored”.

But fans aren’t so sure that’s true.

In what would be a sickening twist, some viewers believe that Freddie, who is 18, could actually be the dad.

They reckon that, during Monday’s episode (January 9), he was acting very strange.

One person said: “Freddie does look really guilty but I think that EastEnders wants us to think that so they can throw a curveball. I think the Slaters will think he is the dad (even though he’s not) and reveal his paternity in an argument comparing him to his real father.”

Another said: “Now they’re making Freddie act all suspicious.”

A third said: “Freddie seemed a bit too defensive in that questioning. I still think there’s a twist to this Lily storyline.”

And another viewer added: “The teenager was interrogated but it’s definitely Freddie that’s the dad of Lily’s baby otherwise I don’t understand why they brought him in if it wasn’t for this storyline.”

Social services are investigating Lily’s pregnancy due to her young age, as there may be abuse involved.

She told mum Stacey and grandma Jean (Gillian Wright) not to tell anyone that Ricky was the baby’s dad though so he wouldn’t get into any trouble.

But when questioned by the authorities, Freddie became defensive when he was told he “wasn’t much older” than Lily.

He told them that he “barely knows” Lily and then threw a curveball their way when he told them Stacey knew who the baby’s father was.

Teen pregnancies are nothing new for soaps – and EastEnders has also featured a pregnancy between a young girl and an older man before.

Michelle Fowler discovered she was pregnant at just 16, and it was revealed that Dirty Den was the dad.
