Emmerdale’s Naomi Walters has left the village.
Actress Karene Peter joined the cast of the ITV soap in 2022 and it was quickly revealed she’s the long-lost daughter of village vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
Her grandfather Victor Anderson was saddened to see Naomi’s money woes and her towards getting some of Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnsons) windfall.

Naomi was taken aback when Vinny offers to lend her some money and encouraged by Victor, she accepts.
She later received the cash from Vinny and when Victor suggested Naomi keep her new money instead of paying off her debts she is tempted.
During Thursday’s (June 6) episode, Naomi was accused of giving Victor free pints.
Feeling humiliated, the Woolpack worker quit her job and stormed out.
Furious at her run in, Naomi vented to her grandad becoming seriously tempted by Victor’s suggestion to take her money and ditch the village to live her life.
She later decided to head off to Ibiza and viewers at home said they “felt sorry” for Karene as she exited the soap as Naomi.
One fan posted: “To be fair the actress that plays Naomi is good. It’s just that the character is depressing and rubbish.”
A second social media user said: “It’s a shame Naomi is leaving, I don’t feel she was used to her full potential.”
“I do feel sorry for the actress who plays Naomi, it was always going to be an uphill battle when the character has been written so terribly,” someone else said.
Ahead of her exit, Karene praised Kevin Mathurin and Emile John – who played her on-screen father Charles and brother Ethan respectively.
“Being on Emmerdale doesn’t feel like work anyway, but Kevin makes it not feel like work at all.
“We get on very well – he’s looked after me since the start and we have a genuine friendship,” she said.
“It’s the same with Emile, we get on like a house on fire. It feels as though we’ve known each other forever.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
