Everybody Loves Raymond child star who played twin Michael unrecognisable now

One child star from Everybody Loves Raymond looks totally unrecognisable years after leaving the classic sitcom.

Twins Sullivan and Sawyer Sweeten both appeared in the show, headed up by Ray Romano, back in the 90s as on-screen twins Michael and Geoffrey Barone.

Their sister Madylin also found fame in the programme as the twins’ older sister, Ally.

Sadly, tragedy struck the family when Sullivan’s brother Sawyer died in 2015 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, just days before his 20th birthday.

The former child star was visiting a family member’s home in Texas when he shot himself in the head upstairs, while his family were gathered downstairs.

His manager Dino May said at the time: “Everybody was shocked. There was no depression, no nothing. He was a good kid. Teenage stuff, but no depression, no signs or anything.”

Sawyer was described as “very quiet” and “shy” by those who knew him.

His on-screen dad Ray Romano also reached out to pay tribute to the star, explaining: “He was a wonderful and sweet kid to be around. Just a great energy whenever he was there.

“My heart breaks for him, his family, and his friends during this very difficult time.”

His brother Sullivan has continued to act in minor roles but more or less stepped away from the limelight – and he looks completely different nowadays.

The twins were best known for their blonde curtain hairdos and big blue eyes while starring on the show, but now Sullivan sports a cropped brunette hairstyle.

In recent snaps, the star could be seen with a wispy brown beard and sporting glasses, looking slender and a lot more grown-up at the age of 27.

In one picture, Sullivan could be seen grinning at the camera in a khaki jacket and black hoodie.

Though he mostly stays out of the limelight, Sullivan did appear in the 2017 short film Casting as Jack, and found fame in Even Stevens back in 2000 alongside his Everybody Loves Raymond role.

Sullivan and Sawyer were born to actors Elizabeth Grace Millsap and Timothy Lynn ‘Tim’ Sweeten, and also shared a younger sister, Maysa.
