Fans of Barry Manilow were shocked by how youthful the singer looked – just days away from a landmark birthday.
The Copacabana star has a career which spans more than 50 years and he hit the Tony Awards at United Palace Theatre in New York City over the weekend.
To accompany his ageless looks, the singer looked stylish in a navy blazer and black suit pants as he made his way down the red carpet.

Twitter users quickly united to ask how old the crooner actually is – and were shocked to find out he’s about to hit 80.
One wrote: “Who else just googled to see how old is Barry Manilow? Spoiler alert.. he turns 80 this week!”
Another said: “Now I gotta go to my Barry Manilow playlist.”
While a third added: “A great voice. Mum liked him too. Hardly believe he’s nearly 80 now.”
However, not all users showered him with compliments.
One user said: “I just saw a Barry Manilow on The Tony Awards. WOW! He looks absolutely freakish!! Waaaay to much plastic surgery and if possible, his nose is even bigger now. He looks like a mannequin … or a Maniloquin.”

The Mandy hitmaker, who’s currently on tour, recently opened up to the Mirror on how he stays so youthful.
“Just luck! It’s just blind luck. I’m very old, let’s not talk about it – it’s just very depressing,” he said.
“I think of people who are 80… they look older than I do,” he added.
“They’re retired. You know, that ain’t me.”
And the multi-award-winning singer isn’t showing any signs of slowing anytime soon.
“I’m just getting started. I’ve always got the next one,” he said.
The legendary singer-songwriter has sold more than 85 million records worldwide, and released 13 platinum and six multi-platinum albums throughout his 59-year career, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.
He dominated pop music during the latter half of the seventies with several hit singles, including, ‘I Write the Songs’, ‘Looks Like We Made It’, ‘Mandy’, and ‘Copacabana (At the Copa)’.
He’s worked with the likes of Bette Midler, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn and Dionne Warwick.
Aside from writing songs for himself and other artists, the singing icon has written and performed songs for musicals, films and commercials for corporations such as McDonald’s, Pepsi-Cola, and Band-Aid.
