Hollyoaks have confirmed that Oscar Curtis will be taking over the role as Lucas Hay.
The character was originally played by William Hall for nine years.
However, Oscar will be playing Ste Hay’s (Kieron Richardson) son from now on and the actor has teased plenty of drama.

Talking about joining Hollyoaks, Oscar says: “I’ve felt so welcome at Hollyoaks, the cast and crew feel like a real family.
“My first day was so exciting and I’m ready for the fans of the show to see the new Lucas.
“You can definitely expect drama, emotions and everything in between.”
Oscar’s first appearance on Hollyoaks as Luca will be on Wednesday, March 15 on E4 and All 4,and Thursday, March 16 on Channel 4.
Soap bosses have confirmed that Lucas will be involved in a new issue-based storyline which will see Ste being tested as a parent.
He will also become close friends with other teens in the Hollyoaks village as he goes through the trials and tribulations of student life.
Former Lucas actor William announced he was leaving the show in October on Instagram and shared a gallery of behind-the-scenes images.
He captioned the post: “[That’s] a wrap on #lucashay, wow it’s been an amazing 9 years playing this character and not one moment has been bad.
“Honestly, I am so happy to be able to say I have been part of the Hollyoaks family and although it is sad I’m leaving, I’m leaving with happy memories.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years, it means a lot.

William’s former colleagues and fans were quick to congratulate him on his Hollyoaks work, as Leah Barnes actress Elá-May Demircan commented: “I’ve adored having you as an on-screen brother William, sending all my love your way [three red hearts].”
Duncan James, who played Ryan Knight in the soap, wrote: “Awww congrats will!!!!”
A Hollyoaks spokesperson at the time said: “William Hall recently filmed his last scenes as Lucas Hay on Hollyoaks, which will air later this year.
“Hollyoaks want to thank him for his incredible performances over the past nine years.
“Watching him grow up on and off screen has been a joy and everyone wishes him the best of luck for the future.”
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first look episodes on E4 at 7pm
