Love Island fans spot first ‘feud’ minutes into launch show after star gives ‘side eye’

Love Island fans reckon they have already spotted the first “feud” of the new ITV2 series.

Everyone’s favourite dating show returned with a bang last night (January 16) as 10 new sexy singletons entered the South African villa looking for love.

But it appears viewers at home have rumbled the first “feud” after noticing one girl appeared to look “threatened” by another.

In the episode, Welsh beauty and 20-year-old payroll administrator Anna-May was originally coupled up with science and PE teacher Kai Fagan.

Shortly after, 25-year-old makeup artist Lana Jenkins entered the villa.

However, fans were quick to point out how Anna-May appeared to give her a dirty look.

“Why does Anna-may look threatened by Lana?” One person mused.

Another added: “Anna-May had a look on her face when Lana walked in.”

“Did anyone catch the side-eye Anna may gave Lana? Lool,” penned a third fan.

Echoing their thoughts, someone else tweeted: “Anna-May wasn’t pleased with Lana.”

Lana ultimately coupled up with Ron Hall, a Financial Advisor from Essex and the show’s first partially-sighted contestant.

While Anna-May had Kai stolen off her from Olivia Hawkins, 27, a ring girl and actress.

It seems Kai was very popular with the ladies as the Manchester native re-coupled yet again after hairstylist Tanyel Revan, 26, entered the villa and chose him.

Olivia ultimately ended up with 23-year-old farmer Will Young from Buckinghamshire.

As for the other couples, 22-year-old biomedical science student, Tanya Manhenga, partnered with Shaq Muhammad, an airport security officer from London.

Wrapping up the line-up, Anna-May is coupled up with Haris, a TV salesman from Doncaster.

However, it didn’t take long until viewers heard of the news that a “couple split” was on the cards as Maya returned to the villa to announce the arrival of a bombshell.

Bombshell Tom Clare soon made his way into the house, causing tensions to be rife as Maya announced a re-coupling was on its way.

She announced to the other Islanders that Tom would have 24 hours to get to know the girls and that there would be a twist the next day.

Tom will get to pick whichever girl he wants to couple up with, leaving her current male partner single and at risk of being dumped.
