Ticket prices for Katie Price’s pantomime show have been slashed just days into its run.
The 45-year-old is currently appearing in a production of Sleeping Beauty, but she has been slated by critics, some of which branded her performance “her “embarrassing”. Katie is said to be receiving a £60,000 for playing the role of The Wicked Fairy Carabosse in the panto – her stage debut.
Sleeping Beauty is being shown at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool and the tickets have now been reduced by 25 percent. Organisers said in a post on the panto’s official Facebook page: “Calling all fairy tale fans! Sleeping Beauty has awakened at the M&S Bank Arena, and she’s spinning a magical Christmas adventure for the whole family!

“For a limited time, get 25% off selected shows. Book your tickets now and escape into a world where dreams come true (and curses get broken by true love’s kiss!).”
The festive show kicked off last week and is scheduled to run until December 30. Some theatre-goers branded former glamour Katie’s performance an “absolute disgrace”.
This was followed by a video that was posted on social media of the star dancing out of time for the opening night garnered harsh comments from fans on social media. After seeing the video, one person said: “Maybe, just maybe Katie Price could learn the routines.
“She was an absolute disgrace. Clear to see how hard the other cast members have worked .. very clear she thinks she can rock up making zero effort!!!” Katie’s co-star Bippo cheekily joked that she only learned “two of her 25 lines” for the performance.
Meanwhile, another person echoed: “Lol you hardly had any words, did no rehearsing and Bippo acted you off the stage. Good work you can’t sing or act – your family must be so embarrassed.”
Despite the backlash, Katie was also defended by her fans as one said: “Maybe the nasties could have a day off, it’s nearly Christmas ffs..” As another wrote: “You were fab, we loved it. Totally confident and funny as!”
Katie previously admitted she found it difficult to learn her lines for the show. She confessed on her podcast: “I’m not from the West End, right, and these songs aren’t singing, they’re more like talking. I don’t know how to learn it. It’s not even the kind of music I would listen to.”
