Katy Perry fans begging for catchy Just Eat song as she confirms Coronation gig

Katy Perry fans are calling for the singer to belt out the Just Eat advert when she performs at the King’s Coronation.

The American star confirmed last week that she is on the bill for the Coronation Concert on May 7 at Windsor Castle.

The singer, 38, is famous for a string of hits including I Kissed a Girl, Firework and Roar.

But fans have launched a Twitter campaign for the star to perform the catchy ‘Did Somebody Say’ tune from the Just Eat telly adverts, which she stars in.

One fan said: “How am I just finding out that Katy Perry is to perform at the coronation?

Fans are hopeful Katy Perry will sing the track

“I hope she sings her Just Eat song.”

Another added: Really hope she does ‘Just Eat’. It’s one of my faves.”

Katy, who is engaged to Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, is the latest big name to star in an advert for the food delivery service.
She took over from rapper Snoop Dogg, who appeared in the ads from 2020 to 2022.

Last night Just Eat’s UK marketing director Victoria Gold welcomed the calls for the tune to be included.

She said: “King Charles loves a national anthem, so it’s no surprise that fans are calling for our cultural hit ‘Did Somebody Say’ to be sung at the coronation concert.

“Obviously all setlist decisions will be finalised by the monarch and artist, but Just Eat can guarantee the nation’s food cravings will be answered.

“Whether that’s a ‘margherita with extra cheese on it’ or a ‘curry in a hurry, extra sauce on the low’, fans can enjoy a delicious meal all the while watching Katy Perry put on a royally good show.”

Katy Perry’s remake of the song became very popular

Katy Perry’s hit jingle came out in 2022 and quickly became a favourite amongst fans, with the track featuring in various TikToks.

The advert hit screens last summer but the song still remains just as popular – but perhaps not quite regal enough for the King’s Coronation.
