Kelly Clarkson yells ‘my boob’s showing’ and bolts off stage in wardrobe malfunction

Kelly Clarkson gave fans more of a show than they expected as she suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction and made a panicked dash off stage during her concert in Minnesota.

The singer, 41, had been performing her song Catch My Breath when she noticed something was wrong. In a video captured by a fan at the performance, Kelly could be seen wearing a black floor-length dress with ruffles at the bottom.

But something appeared to be wrong with the the top half, which was made up of black sheer lace and featured a plunging neckline covered by thicker lace ruffles. In the clip, which has since circulated on Twitter, Kelly began running her hands over her chest and fiddling with the material.

As the band began playing Kelly went to sing the first line of the song but stopped mid-way through as she turned towards the side of the stage and asked: “Am I good?” The band continued to play on until she made them stop, adding: “Wait hold on, should I fix it?”

She turned to the audience and held up her hand as she declared: “I think my boob’s showing, hold on.” Kelly quickly ran off the stage as the crowd erupted in laughter.

The Grammy award-winner eventually returned to the stage as the crowd applauded her. This time she made sure her top was safely securing her boobs.

In another video posted to Twitter by a fan at the concert, she appeared to make light of the situation as she explained what happened and apologised. “What kind of show is this? I was told you wanted a really fun show. I’m so sorry, I think my hair got stuck in the teeth,” she could be heard telling the crowd.

She added: “They’re good, look they’re not big enough to make noise, which I don’t mind. Okay, we’re just gonna keep the ladies in though, just you know keep it a family show, my bad.” The fan who posted the clip explained: “So her dress had a v top with nothing under it. There was really nothing covering her side boob at all .. so when she turned.. .. lots going on. Haha.”

But Kelly didn’t let the wardrobe malfunction phase her and confidently continued on with the rest of the show, performing songs including Whole Lotta Woman, Miss Independent, Stronger, and Since U Been Gone. Before leaving the stage for the night she apologised again, telling the audience: “Thank you so much! I’m sorry for the show. Have a great night, y’all!”

Fans on Twitter found the situation hilarious. “New song title…Catch My Breast,” one person joked. Another added: “Sooo funny that she questions to get it fixed like uh yeah gurl you should.”

A third said: “She is so down to earth. Funny.” Others were more sympathetic, with one fan writing: “Oh bless her, glad someone told her, she coped well.”
