Love Island’s Jess Harding and Sammy Root have gone their separate ways two months after winning the summer series.
The couple took home a whopping £50,000 after being voted as the top couple earlier this year after viewers watched their romance blossom. While things appeared to be going well for the duo, it has now been reported that they’ve decided to go their separate ways.

The duo haven’t posted on socials together since they attended the National Television Awards last month and Jess has been busy jetting off on holiday and focusing on her collaboration with In The Style. Jess has also carried on working at her job before appearing on the reality show, with reduced hours.
According to MailOnline, a source stated their relationship “changed” after they left the villa and went back to their normal lives. The source added they realised they are “better off as friends”.

The news of their split comes shortly after speculation they’d gone their separate ways after Sammy posted to Instagram with a photo captioned: “Keep smiling”. Fans immediately rushed to the comments to question the caption.
One user wrote: “Oh I hope those rumours aren’t true. Love Sammy and loved Jess and Sammy as a couple. Hope all the pressure of everyone wanting a piece of them didn’t get too much.” Another asked: “Are you still together?”

But as news of their split circulated, one person said: “Gutted, loved them as a couple, just wish they would confirm.” While another pointed out that Jess had “unpinned her post” of the duo on her Instagram.
It was also spotted that Jess had removed the highlights of her and Sammy from her Instagram. Jess’ Instagram content has mostly been related to her collaboration with In The Style in recent weeks.
But as she took a break following the reported split, Jess has been sunning it up on holiday. The beauty headed to Ibiza with her pals and made the most of the sunny weather.
Jess and Sammy shocked Love Island fans when they took home the win after weeks of being voted in the bottom couples. As viewers saw their relationship turn around, they soon became supportive.
The pair won the series ahead of front-runners Whitney and Lochan, splitting a whopping £50,000 between them.
